Why do bottle kilns matter so much to people today?
I’m collecting people’s opinions about the last remaining bottle kilns in Stoke on Trent, UK, and why they matter so much to people now in the city’s Centenary year. If you can contribute please visit the Stoke on Trent Past and Present Facebook group page to leave your comment. Thanks!

About
I make detailed scale models, miniature scenes and dioramas. I started model making as a kid in the 1980’s and it’s been my life-long fascination to recreate disappearing and lost subjects in miniature. I find that miniatures can give people feelings of wonder and comfort by encouraging creative play, storytelling and remembrance.
I grew up in Stoke on Trent, a post-industrial British town that was surrounded by landscapes of wrecked machinery and factories, so as a kid I was immersed in a world of loss and change. My creative focus is on abandonment, although I make models of all types and eras, both real-life and fantasy subjects.

Commissions
A commissioned miniature is a one-of-a-kind work that reflects your personal interests, whether it's a specific vehicle, building or scene. You might want a rare version, a fictional design or a recreation of a real-life place — something you can't just buy in the shops!
Miniatures often represent cherished memories too — a childhood home, somewhere you worked, your first car, a military vehicle your relative served in, or a place from your favourite book or film.
Whatever you have in mind, I take great pride in bringing your vision to life and I welcome all enquiries.
