Commissions

A commissioned miniature is a one-of-a-kind work that reflects your personal interests, whether it's a specific vehicle, building or scene. You might want a rare version, a fictional design or a recreation of a real-life place — something you can't just buy in the shops! Miniatures often represent cherished memories too — a childhood home, somewhere you worked, your first car, a military vehicle your relative served in, or a place from your favourite book or film.

Whatever you have in mind, I’m happy to discuss your ideas and to provide a cost estimate with no obligation. I take great pride in bringing your vision to life and it’s easy to commission a custom made miniature: learn more about the process.

How to commission your very own miniature

Commissioning a custom miniature turns it into a tangible, meaningful object. Your vision is central to the process and it all starts with a conversation. Here’s how it works:

  1. Discuss your idea: we’ll discuss your vision, consider some options and create a price estimate.

  2. Agree detailed specification and costing: if you want to proceed, we’ll agree on detailed specifications and cost.

  3. Deposit taken: a 50% deposit is required to secure the project.

  4. Build: I will make the miniature to the agreed specifications.

  5. Review and acceptance: you’ll have the opportunity to review the miniature before accepting it.

  6. Final payment: once you’re satisfied with the miniature, the final payment will be made.

  7. Delivery: the miniature will be delivered to you.
