Taking inspiration from the old potbanks of Stoke on Trent, I designed the Character Collection to bring a variety of interesting bottle oven and kiln shapes alive. They make a great gift idea for enthusiasts and collectors of pottery heritage and industrial history.
This one is inspired by the conical shaped downdraught kilns of the Acme Marls Works in Burslem. Dated from the mid 20th Century, the works were known for manufacturing technical ware used in the ceramics industry. Three of them still stand today and they are known as the Three Sisters kilns.
Key product information:
Height 21cm x Width 7.5cm x Depth 3.7 cm with flat back that can rest against a wall.
Hand cast in Jesmonite, hand painted and weathered with individualised effects.
You can hang them flat on a wall or stand them on their base.
Suitable for indoor display only.
Comes with a signed certificate of authenticity – each one is made by me.
