Taking inspiration from the old potbanks of Stoke on Trent, I designed the Character Collection to bring a variety of interesting bottle oven and kiln shapes alive. They make a great gift idea for enthusiasts and collectors of pottery heritage and industrial history.
This one is inspired by the tall and thin bottle ovens of Minton’s Old Factory in Stoke town. Dated from the 1790’s, the works was known for supplying dinnerware to embassies and heads of state in the 19th century. The site was demolished in the early 2000’s.
Ker product information:
Height 21cm x Width 7.5cm x Depth 3.7 cm with flat back that can rest against a wall.
Hand cast in Jesmonite, hand painted and weathered with individualised effects.
You can hang them flat on a wall or stand them on their base.
Suitable for indoor display only.
Comes with a signed certificate of authenticity – each one is made by me.
